Nelson Wedding Photography retain the right to post a Storybook and is largely dependent on the work flow at the time, especially during the peak months. Our clients also have the right to decline the offer to have their wedding featured on Storybook.

How long does it take to get our images?
Each image (excluding the unflattering shots) are professionally edited including colour correction, exposure balance, contrast, cropping and a selection of black and white. To ensure that we provide consistent high quality images, the turn around period may be up to five weeks during the peak season (excluding shipping time).
We just want candid shots?
In reality, a lot of couples don’t know what to do when they are standing in front of a camera, especially on a bright sunny day. Our photographic coverage incorporates a selection of styles, including natural, reportage and structured. During the location photos we offer our assistance with regards to positioning the bride and groom to maximise light, shape and definition.
Do we provide the photographers with meals during the reception coverage?
As the wedding day is very long, we kindly request that meals are provided. It is also recommended that we sit at a table close to the outside as to assist with moving around freely.
I may be able to save money and hire a cheaper photographer or a family friend?
Be ever mindful that choosing a photographer based on price may not always be in your best interest long term. There are many part-time amateur photographers in the market that may not have the experience with regards to wedding photography in general, such as lighting and dealing with large amounts of people. Not to mention, the lack of back up equipment in the event of gear failure. If your wedding photos are really important to you, why take a risk?
Are photo books all the same quality?
They are certainly not, there are a lot of cheap sub standard photo books available on-line that just don’t last over time. At Nelson Wedding Photography we provide extremely high quality premium photo books. Each photo book is individually designed, printed on silk pages using the highest quality inks and is hand stitched and bound. There are many options available with regards to covers, page content and size, please refer to premium photo books.
Do you offer discounts for winter weddings?
During the winter months there is an increased chance of unfavorable weather and the days are shorter with decreased light. Therefore, concessions are available for weddings booked from the 1st of June through to the 31st of August, pricing is presented on the Optional Services page.
Do I have to pay a deposit ?
To make it fair for all couples, a deposit of confirmation is payable to secure the chosen date. In the event that the wedding is cancelled/postponed or the services of Nelson Wedding Photography are no longer required, the deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.
